Commander's Brew

Rocco is the ultimate “Secret Commander’ Commander. For five mana, we can get Sram on the field and now we have access to Red and Green cards for our equipment-based voltron deck.

The journey to brew Denry Klin starts off pretty straightforward with +1/+1 counters, but then we dig into some of the weirder counters to pass around

We’re taking a twist on Anhelo by getting our casualty 2 off of zombie tokens. Anhelo zombies! Getting a little creative with some restrictions led to a couple neat moves!

Although there’s now Commander decks for every set, this is the big annual release with more decks and more new cards! I’ll go through each deck one by one by Commanders and cool new cards. And what it’s all about if you’re interested in playing them unchanged. I think you should be.

Lord Xander is primed to be a real archenemy at the table. So, rather than lean into how mean Lord Xander could be, we’ll lean into how mean the 99 can be! Are you gonna save a counterspell for my Commander, or will you use it when I cast your own stuff?

Group Hug is a surprisingly broad category of decks. There are so many dials to turn. How much hugging? How much suffering? How do we try to win, if at all? We cover most of the main options, and present a Commander’s Brew spin on things as well!

Kyodai could be brewed infinity ways. 5-Colour Commander, after all. This deck leans into the “indestructible pal” that Kyodai promotes, and turns them into a choose-your-own-voltron style deck. Plus we go wide too.

Isshin doubles all combat triggers. Not just ones triggered by our creatures attacking. This means there's a nice defensive brew for this Commander. And with all these enchantments, let's throw in a little enchantress angle!
