🇫🇷 Doug Polk a commencé à jouer au poker à l'adolescence et, à 19 ans, il a décidé d'abandonner ses études pour se consacrer à plein temps au poker en ligne. Après avoir connu des difficultés en tant que professionnel de full ring, Doug s'est tourné vers le heads-up, où il a rapidement gravi les échelons. Le moment culminant de sa carrière de professionnel du heads-up en ligne a été un défi de 15 000 mains à 100 $/200 $ contre Ben « Sauce123 » Sulsky, où Doug a remporté près d'un million de dollars. Doug a ensuite commencé à participer à des tournois live et a remporté au total 3 bracelets WSOP, dont le plus notable est celui du One Drop 2017, d'une valeur de 3 686 865 $. Pendant cette période, Doug a également fondé UpswingPoker, qui est devenu l'un des principaux sites de formation au poker au monde. After struggling as a full-ring professional, Doug transitioned to heads-up up where he quickly rose through the stakes. A pinnacle moment in his career as an online heads-up pro came in the form of a 15,000 hand challenge of $100/$200 vs Ben "Sauce123" Sulsky, where Doug won almost $1,000,000. Doug then began playing some live tournaments and ended up winning 3 total WSOP bracelets, most notably the 2017 One Drop for $3,686,865. During this time, Doug also founded UpswingPoker, which became one of the leading poker training sites in the world. Doug had a brief retirement from the poker world around the end of the 2010s, but returned in 2020 for a heads-up online grudge match vs Daniel Negreanu, where he won roughly $1,200,000 over 25,000 hands at $200/$400. To study for this challenge, Doug used a trainer called Lucid Poker, and he later became a co-owner of the company. Following the Negreanu, Doug co-purchased The Lodge Card Club in Austin, Texas, which has now expanded to a second location in San Antonio. In spring 2025, Doug became an ambassador for ClubWPT Gold, where the "Code Doug" memes were born. Today, Doug balances his time between his business ventures while also appearing on some of the biggest poker shows in the world.
