Angie Harmon's daughter broke in to a bar with friends, got drunk and then left with six bottles of booze. What should her punishment be? Do we spend too much time on petty criminals and not enough on major ones? What happened to bringing them home to parents, paying for the damages and moving on? 

Baltimore Pride had a chemical agent released. Social media is now filled with anti-LGBTQ hatred. Let's face it, this Pride month it's more dangerous than ever to be LGBTQ in the USA. Where is this all headed?

I'm live from the Hotel Maya in Long Beach, CA and it's one of my happy places. I love the view, the rooms, I love how Ember can walk and play on the beach, being in the harbor near The Queen Mary, I love that it's not in Long Beach proper and that there are NO homeless all around it...I love a lot about it. I love that it's a Doubletree/Hilton property so there's a standard of excellence. 

Where is your happy place? And how often do you get there?

Also, the restaurant, Fuego, adds 20% gratuity to ALL checks, whether you want to tip or not. Is that OK in today's world?

And, can you afford travel and tourism? It's a multi-billion dollar industry, but is it becoming only for the rich?

Today we're looking at California’s multi-billion dollar budget deficit – and what's being done to protect the state’s most vulnerable residents.

 To find out, we spoke to Jodi Reid, executive director of California Alliance for Retired Americans, California’s largest grassroots senior advocacy organization. She has more than four decades of organizing experience on issues ranging from health care to housing. Jodi represents her organization on the board of Healthy California Now, a single-payer advocacy coalition.

The verdict in the Hunter Biden trial is not what we should be talking about; no, we should be talking about how there's a Hunter Biden in every family, it may even be us. We should be talking bout addiction, about drug safety, how not to die from bad things in drugs...we should be giving people support not disdain, options not sentences. Drug addicts lie, newsflash. Did Hunter lie 11 days sober? Probably. But each family has someone that takes too many pills, drinks too much, does recreational drugs, either in moderation, or too much. Drugs are literally everywhere legal or not, and that should be the conversation. 

When thinking about life, about beginnings and endings, about happiness...are you happy in the USA, truly? Gun violence, adoration of terrible behavior, run by billionaires and out of touch white conservatives, really run, that is; the dumb are getting dumber and the educated are getting quieter. And the world is taking heed; France is going right wing, Germany...why? Why at this point are humans letting the worst among us have the most? Is it because as a species we have a death wish?
