In discussing his boasting, he brings up the visions "a guy Paul knew" saw when he was caught up into heaven. Rather than boasting in this amazing vision and the chance "that guy" had to see it, he boasts rather in the thorn in the flesh Paul endured, namely in its capacity to highlight Jesus' sufficiency and the power of God's grace.
