Friends, after 13 incredibly fun years here on BTR, I’ve decided it’s time to pass on the torch of Jam Session. This will be my final episode. The annual Santa Cruz Mountain Sol Festival will be returning to Roaring Camp Meadows in Felton, California this September. Bob Weir and Wolf Bros are confirmed headliners, and they’ll be joined by some Jam Session favorites like Turkuaz and Achilles Wheel, as well as Billy Strongs, Painted Mandolin and more. Also this week, we check out the summer touring plans for New Orleans-based funk band Galactic, and Sound Tribe Sector 9’s plans for their return to Red Rocks and their “Push The Sky” theme.

We’re welcoming jam band the Snozzberries to the Jam Session family today! This 4-piece psychedelic rock group from Asheville, North Carolina is quickly building a name for themselves as an electrifying live band. Also on this week’s episode, we’ll be checking in with The New Deal about their first tour since 2016, which will be the live debut of new drummer Davide Di Renzo.
