Hey I just wanted to give you guys a little update on how our event is progressing after a sweaty rough night sleeping we time(?) up maybe 5 hours. Woke up this morning to a fine clear day honestly it's lot of heat and it's certainly lit up the sky ___ the sun. They are some clouds some heavy clouds ___ we're lucky they're covered the sun up and block out some of that heat and hold on to the ring(?) while they're at it. Maybe you can hear on the background lots of bands ___ in the main stage it's been a live variety of music. They already I was here with Cavalier(?) here today ___ which is a little group of local performers just having a good time. We had some Cagey(?) music and had some Irish(?) music start out this morning with ___ which was beating up sort of Keltic(?).

day 2 on Garden Island. a Fortune Bay expedition Team trip.

Alright we have a signal here on the Brookshore ___ Island. He's now been here for a day and it's been a pretty good day yesterday we got here set up camp ___ phase picked around a lot march through massive poison ivy and then took a short hike out to the old Indian cemetery there are out 35 hundred souls and not much to see there pure houses remain. The Island trails are in very good shape maybe probably because soon they got some use by people and they're just not over grown that much although there are a lot of dead falls on a flow down. I thought I'd give you a quick call update to start of the Pirates of the Archipelago(?) fortune day ___ trip even though we actually aren't yet of the archipelago(?). We won't even get to the archipelago(?) for another ___ or so hours. The east side contingent of myself and the Steven Canvas(?) he left the in the ___ Lagonia(?) area to meet up with the car pool lot that we usually use and we all got down there about noonish and had a straight forward drive with a requisite traditional stop at Tony's over at Verge one Tony's is a classic diner that isn't really as good as it once was

Well we have completed our height on the Lake Shore trail the picture of us at National Park and I now enjoying, we're about to enjoy our post hike meal at Mean Streak Pizza here in Minaseng(?). I didn't have cell coverage during the hike of that first day briefly so I couldn't obviously do any phone casts. And I'm not gonna go in to detail now because the pizza is gonna arrive soon and I wanna give it at work. Surprised to say though over the next few days we had a variety of trail conditions and great variety of scenery. The first day was known for five hours. The Sun has set probably about half an hour ago. But it won't be dark here at our camp site and also the East probably for at least another half an hour make it somewhere past 10:00. We had a good first day, we of course have a short nice ___ having no lights there camp site to about 2:00 in the morning. But that fully that goes everyone met up for breakfast and or up to make the adventure to ranger station. We called the shuttle and we're well we needed to be be back 11:00, we felt so first check we'll be thought ___. That's the one thing that look at far view(?) venture out here in the Alger(?) County

So this is my first attempt on a phonecast for our picture box National Lakeshore expedition. I'm actually nowhere near Preston(?) Rock(?) yet perhaps you can hear in the background the rain that's falling. I'm in Lagollio(?) right now with Andy Mitas(?) and Elvira ___. We're gonna drive one up to the Upper Peninsula. It's about 400 and some miles to Finney and then a little farther to Munising. We'll get there between 1:00 and 2:00am and expect to find everybody else already there either Camp Dowd or staying at a hotel in, in town. Hopefully once we get north of the, the Flint area this rain will, will dissipate(?).
