When Jesus is friends with you He can't help but show you His heart. It's always the friends of God who see Him as Lord of all. Today, we look at the story of Mary and Martha to learn more about the heart of God and how we can go deeper in relationship with Him.

God wants us to rest in Him and listen to His voice. He is a gentle and loving God that wants the very best for His children, and in order to give us His best we have to make time to dwell in Him and all of His ways.

Whether our giant is fear, inadequacy, or regret, God wants to step in and help us face it. The time is now to remember how big our God is and confront our giants with Him.

When we make choices that make ourselves larger, we make God seem smaller. Pride is the source of insecurity and it must die within us or else nothing of heaven can live in us; but when we choose humility, we are covered by God’s grace.

Hope is not denying the facts, but hope keeps you steady and causes you to continue to run for the things of God. Hope is how we move forward. Hope now, hope always.

From death to life, baptism is our response to the hope of Jesus Christ. It's a time of celebration, representing a new you. The old sin dies, leaving the new you to live in the freedom that comes from Christ's resurrection.

Giving is trusting God with what we have and believing that our money is worth far more with His blessing than without. Tithing and giving of our finances is not about how much we can give, but about God wanting our heart and wanting to use us to bless others.
