Welcome to Commercial Corner, with Paul and Vicky... except... well, the podcast isn't quite ready yet.  So here is the obligatory placeholder teaser trailer, to mark our territory.  So to speak...  We both work in higher education, but we're not academics.  We're firmly tucked away in the back office, in commercial roles.

So every Autumn, as students kindly invest their course fees, our work starts - making sure that money is put to good use.  Of course Universities need to buy all manner of things to keep running - from computers and lab equipment to sports kit and building maintenance.  Making budgets stretch to fit the need is where our problem solving task begins.
