While we know God works all things together for our good, we know that obsessing with comfort and survival can lead to compromise and keeps us from being people whose faith PERSEVERES!

And a faith that perseveres makes a person complete lacking nothing (James 1:4)! The church in Smyrna was an example of people who while afflicted socially, economically and even in danger for their lives, never compromised and knew that if they had Jesus, they had EVERYTHING!
