Daniel 5: 1-31

When are you at your most nihilistic? When are you tempted to simply ignore the heart and law of God to pursue your own plans, pleasures, and dreams? While the king was eating and drinking God's children were in bondage. While the king was toasting the gods of stone the Persian empire was just outside his door ready to bring him down. Join us as we worship together the mysterious God who writes on walls and saves his children.

Daniel 4: 1-37

God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. We usually think this verse is about two different people. The proud and the humble. The trush is we are always living in a balance between humility and pride. The story of King Nebuchadnezzar losing his mind is a perfect example of God's power over earthly kingdoms while at the same time his unrelenting love and patience for those who we might think are so far gone that they would never acknowledge God as the king of heaven and earth. Join us as we look at Daniel chapter 4 and worship the God who loves us enough to cut out the very thing that is killing us.

Daniel 3:1-30

When we build an empire unto ourselves, there is no limitations to the degree that we will burn people and disavow God. We have come to one of the most famous stories not just in the Bible but in history, the story of the Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the fiery furnace. Join us as we hear about the amazing God who not only rescues his children but enters the fire with us.

Daniel 2:1-47

The book of Daniel comes out swinging.  King Nebuchadnezzar has a dream and demands that his wise men not only tell him the interpretation but he refuses to tell them the actual dream itself for fear that they would give him a trumped up meaning. The order had gone out, "Kill all the wise men." This included Daniel and his friends. Where do we put our hope when evil comes? Join us as we explore the meaning of Nebuchadnezzar's dream and what that meant for Daniel and what that means for you and I living as exiles in God's kingdom.

Daniel 1

The book of Daniel hits American sensitivities like another dystopian fiction or apocalyptic TV show. We don’t know what to do with Daniel so for the most part we get it wrong or simply ignore the book altogether. We either look at Daniel as a heroic man whose righteousness should inspire us to keep the faith, or as a road-map to the end times that can, through careful study, tell us the day and hour of Christ’s return. Both of these kinds of readings of the book of Daniel are missing the bigger picture – that God is the hero of this story, and he is in the midst of his unrelenting plan to rescue his people from their sin and its consequences. Join us as we explore God’s love in a broken world – God’s redemption for a wayward people – and God’s timing in the cross of reconciling all things back to himself.

Acts 28:17-31

This is the end. This is what Luke has been writing about for 28 chapters and leading his readers to discover. The Kingdom of God has broken in through Jesus Christ and he wishes that none should perish but all to come to saving faith in the Hope of Israel, Jesus the Messiah. Join us as we finish out the book of Acts and look at God's mission for each of us inside his kingdom!

Acts 28:1-10

Paul survives the seas, and arrives at the island of Malta. Their welcome is described as "unusually kind." The perception of Paul to the natives of Malta goes from welcome stranger to murderer to god and then to healer. How does God use people's perception of us to serve His purpose? Are we willing to be faithful, and ultimately show our community the true healing nature of God?

Acts 27:13-44

Our lives are filled with stormy seas at times. Faith is the anchor that stills our sails until indescribable peace can come. Paul has said his goodbye and continues on the road to Rome. While encountering a literal storm at sea, his unwavering Faith shows him to be much more than a prisoner.  Join us as we continue to see Paul as an example of what Faith can do.

Acts 27:1-12

Sometimes we are faced with a choices that leave us in the dark. Leave us out in the cold. One of the hardest things to believe is that winter will pass and life will be safe again...some day. That is hard. Just try to say that. "Life will be safe again someday." Paul and his companions were under the command of the Roman centurion and rather than deciding to bunker down in Crete for the winter the centurion risked the stormy sea. Join us as we look at walking together through the winter and God's overall provisions and guidance.

Acts 26:1-32

Is part of the reason we don't live counter-culturally for Christ because we are terrified of being labeled as one of those "Crazy Christians"? This is exactly what Festus calls Paul after hearing his testimony. Join us as we look at having convictions about faith without becoming a fanatic.
