We have spent the last few weeks exploring important ingredients which help make-up community: gratitude, promise keeping, and being truthful. From our childhood on, our society teaches us to carefully choose those in which we will share those "community building ingredients" with. More times than not, we choose individuals who are like us. Yet, the call of community isn't about finding people just like us, or the exclusion of any people. Biblical community is clearly about unlike people, strangers, coming together and finding Christ at the center of their life together. Thus, true community reflects the powerful dynamics of God bringing very diverse people together for his witness in the world.
