Servant - diakonos (dee-ak'-on-os) one who runs errands; an attendant, a waiter (at table or in other menial duties)

ONCE YOU ARE POURED INTO YOU ARE CALLED TO POUR OUT.

Death = robs hope, dreams, limits and damages potential.

Life  =  nurtures and impress hope, dream, possibilities.

"We can certainly conquer it!" 31 But the other men who had explored the land with him disagreed. "We can't go up against them! GET THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN YOUR LIFE AND THE WRONG PEOPLE OUT.

GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.

Fear will limit your potential, shut down your gifts and quench your uniqueness.

 

Fear of conflict, failure, rejection can overwhelm and paralyze.

Your Comfort Zone can be  safe and secure – but has no challenges and no place to grow to be the person God has called you to be.

 KEYS TO LIVING THE DREAM THAT GOD HAS FOR YOU

1.        FIND THE DREAM.

“For I know the plans I have for you,"   Jeremiah 29:11

“Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.”     Psalm 37:4

DELIGHT - anag (aw-nag')  to be soft or pliable.

2.       WRITE THE DREAM DOWN.

 

"Then the LORD answered me and said: “ Write the vision  And make it plain on tablets, That he may run who reads it."  Habakkuk 2:2

What are some of the dreams that god has given you?       

3.       MAKE THE DREAM BIG.

 

“Many, O Lord my God, are the wonders you have done.  The things you planned for us no one can recount to you; were I to speak and tell of them, they would be too many to declare.”     Psalm 40:5

IF YOU CAN ACHIEVE YOUR DREAM WITHOUT A MOVE OF GOD THEN IT IS NOT BIG ENOUGH.

 

"God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams! He does it not by pushing us around but by working within us, his Spirit deeply and gently within us."

Ephesians 3:20-21

4.     SEE THE DREAM.

 

"Then the LORD said to Joshua, "See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men."   Joshua 6:2

 

 

WATCH OUT FOR DREAM THIEVES.

 

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”     John 10:10

DON'T QUIT ON THE DREAM.

1.  REMAIN IN GOD.

2. REMAIN IN GOD’S PURPOSE. 

Luke 2:34-35 Then Simeon blessed them and said to Mary, his mother: “This child is destined to cause the falling and rising of many in Israel, and to be a sign that will be spoken against, so that the thoughts of many hearts will be revealed.”   NIV

 

3.  REMAIN WITH GOD’S FAMILY.

Luke 1:56   Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home.   NIV

ABANDON SAFE AND LIVE BY FAITH

Exodus 3:1-7, 10 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, "I will go over and see this strange sight--why the bush does not burn up." When the LORD saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, "Moses! Moses!" And Moses said, "Here I am." "Do not come any closer," God said. "Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground." Then he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob." SAFE WILL KEEP YOU…

1.  SAFE WILL KEEP YOU TRAPPED IN THE PAST. 

Exodus 2:12  Glancing this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.     NIV

TO LIVE BY FAITH

RECOGNIZE THAT GOD IS ALREADY AT WORK IN YOU.

Hebrews 11:23  By faith Moses' parents hid him for three months after he was born, because they saw he was no ordinary child, and they were not afraid of the king's edict.   NIV

REFUSE TO BE DEFINED BY ANYTHING BUT GOD. 

Hebrews 11:24-27 By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be known as the son of Pharaoh's daughter. He chose to be mistreated along with the people of God rather than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a short time. He regarded disgrace for the sake of Christ as of greater value than the treasures of Egypt, because he was looking ahead to his reward. By faith he left Egypt, not fearing the king's anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible. NIV

IMPACTS OTHERS AROUND YOU.

Hebrews 11:28-29  By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel. By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.    NIV

DAVID WAS A SERVANT.

1 Samuel 16:21-23   So David went to Saul and began serving him. Saul loved David very much, and David became his armor bearer.  22 Then Saul sent word to Jesse asking, "Please let David remain in my service, for I am very pleased with him."  23 And whenever the tormenting spirit from God troubled Saul, David would play the harp. DAVID WAS A WORSHIPPER.

1.  TIME TO CRY.

Distressed - yatsar (yaw-tsar') to press, to be narrow.

Encouraged - Chazaq (khaw-zak')  - to fasten upon, to strengthen, to bind.

3.  TIME TO SEEK.

1 Samuel 30:7-8    Then he said to Abiathar the priest, "Bring me the ephod!" So Abiathar brought it. 8 Then David asked the Lord, "Should I chase after this band of raiders? 4.  TIME TO FIGHT.  

1 Samuel 30:17-20   David and his men rushed in among them and slaughtered them throughout that night and the entire next day until evening.
