Because the human spirit was created by God. It's His breath.
Life is a gift; and along with that gift of His breath, He gives us a house to live in.
But then when this house is done, then, our spirit either goes to live with Him, or it goes to eternal separation.
There is no middle ground.
Only happens while you have the breath of God in you, and you live on the earth, in the earth.
Cause, the blood of Jesus was shed in the earth, so the decision must be made in the earth.
His blood decided eternity here, so in order to have His eternity, the provision, you have to make the decision, here.
While you still have breath.

The blood of Jesus is where my value comes from... My valuation comes only from Heaven, and it is the blood of Jesus, that has been paid, the price for my redemption and my being here... I am necessary because God says that I am, and I function best by allowing only one person to set a standard for my life, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ.
I can only live one life, and I must live the life for the one that has given it to me.
The shininess of our value is being seen in the blood of Jesus, the equalizer that says that your financial status has nothing to do with your value. It is the value, the high price that Heaven has set upon us, that is the standard we live by, and we will not lower ourselves to anything else ever again.
