"We open God’s Word together to Philippians 2:12-18 and be challenged to examine our conduct as Christians and to determine what in our behavior needs to be addressed as we seek to become more Christ-like."

This message focuses on how we can learn to be content in whatever our circumstances are, as well as knowing that we can accomplish all this with the strength given to us through Christ. The secret to this is knowing that we need to be Christ-sufficient rather than self-sufficient. Our true contentment and accomplishments are only found in our relationship with Christ.

"Salvation in Christ frees us from the power that sin once had over us."

Today we continue our sermon series from the book of Philippians entitled “To Live is Christ.” We turn to Philippians 2:1-8 and be challenged together to consider what the Bible means when it says to imitate the humility of Christ Jesus.

"We thank God for the mothers he has given to us. We turn to Philippians 4:6-7 on how mothers (and us) should respond to stress. Prayer is that answer."

"This passage focuses on the certainty of the promises of God. We will look at the life of Abraham (as noted in the text) as the example in which the Lord made a promise and then confirmed that promise with an oath. The promises of God are given to us as this hope as an anchor for our soul. This hope is also given to us in the person of Jesus Christ as our anchor, our forerunner and high priest."

We will turn to Philippians 1:18-26 and be challenged together to consider what the Bible means when it says “To Live is Christ and To Die is Gain.
