The Community Foundation of Johnson County is working to make sure all people in our community are welcome, treated equally, and invited to have a seat at the table. That's why the organization started the Inclusive Johnson County Fund, which provides financial support for race and bias education and outreach, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting cultural events. Juneteenth marks the anniversary of June 19, 1865, when some of the last enslaved people in America were freed from Confederate Texas. Hear from our special guests, Keshia Fields and LaNisha Cassell, about plans to celebrate and commemorate Juneteenth in Johnson County and at the African American Museum of Iowa with a week's worth of virtual and in-person events. All events are free and open to the public.

The COVID-19 pandemic continues to cause financial problems for many Iowans who have fallen behind on bills, rent, or mortgage. To help ease that burden, the Iowa Finance Authority is offering help through the Iowa Rent and Utility Assistance Program and the Iowa Homeowner Foreclosure Prevention Program.
