This Sunday Doug Grenawalt will be joining us and speaking during the Worship Service. Doug and his wife Margaret are missionaries in Chicago, Illinois. Doug will be sharing on the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) and intersecting it with their experiences and the need in Chicago.

This Sunday during the Worship Service we'll be asking the question "what do we do when someone does us wrong?" We'll see Christ's response to this question, and look at the details of what to do when a brother or sister in Christ sins against us, along with the call to remain loving and prayerful during the process.

In this week's "Encounter with Jesus" we'll meet a man possessed, who was sent to Christ to be healed. We'll see how his story relates to modern culture and take an honest look at the spiritual warfare that occurs to this day. Our struggle is not always with flesh and blood, but against evil forces in the spiritual realm (Ephesians 6:12). We'll see that Christ has already equipped us with all we need for battle.

For the next five Sundays we'll be diving into the book of Matthew to see the "Encounters with Jesus" that took place while He lived here on earth. We'll begin this week with an unforgettable mountaintop experience - the Transfiguration. We'll see how this mountaintop experience can teach us to respond not only when we are living life on the mountaintop, but also as we walk through the valleys.

What if we look back over the past 5 years and realize our faith hasn't changed much? Everything changes: the seasons, our wardrobes, our kids' activities, our technology, and even sometimes our careers. What does taking new steps in our personal relationships with Jesus actually look like? What if where He leads seems uncomfortable or unpopular? Listen in as we wrap up our Crazy Love series!

When we love people, our investment in them is a privilege and a joy, not a dreaded task to endure. God's heart towards us is one of joy and delight - so how do we respond to Him? Are we obsessed with pursuing Him more, or just "going through the motions" of religion? Listen in as the Leadership Team continues the "Crazy Love" series!

Having a right understanding of the God we serve should change what we bring to the table. Listen in as the Leadership Team will continue their "Crazy Love" series, and look at how easy it is to slip into lukewarm affection for our God, and how that affects the way we prioritize what we're willing to offer in regards to our resources.

For the next 4 weeks, the Leadership Team will be going through a series based on the book "Crazy Love," written by Francis Chan. This week, they will be kicking off this series with a message entitled "Who is the God I Serve?" As Christ's Body, the Church, we are called to be active in pursuing humanity for Christ in whatever contexts we live in. But in order to do this, we must be in constant pursuit of the God Who first pursued us - to get our intents and hearts in line with Who He is, and to know and rest in His character.

This Easter Sunday we will be finishing up our "Gospel Exposed" series. We've spent two weeks learning about our sin, where it leads, and about Christ's sacrificial solution for our eternity. This week we'll focus on what we're saved for. Come hear about God's endgame for humanity and the part we get to play in His gracious plan for our context.
