Text: John 3:1-36   

Theme: One of the most famous verses in our Bible comes from the discussion Jesus has with a man named Nicodemus in John 3. His words will forever help define what it means when we’re Stepping In to a relationship with Jesus.  

Key Verse: John 3:16 (NIV) “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Text: John 2:1-25   

Theme: Jesus seriously shook things up. His passion and mission didn’t line up with the religious priorities of the day. While the religious elite had a system they were quite comfortable with, that was all about to change when Jesus showed up.  

Key Verse: John 2:17 (NIV) His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”

Text: John 1:35-51  

Theme: This week Ben Browen leads us through the second half of John 1. Together, we’ll be looking intently at the beginning of Jesus’ ministry and His first encounters with His followers. 

Key Verse: John 1:41 (NIV) The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ).

Text: John 1:1-34   

Theme: The book of John is unique and stands out from the other Gospel accounts of Jesus’ life we read in Matthew, Mark and Luke. John specifically wants his readers to know that Jesus is God in the flesh. In week one of our series, we’ll find out John wastes no time in making his point. 

 Key Verse: John 1:14 (NIV) The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Theme: When we are all in, we are all His! Now we believe our lives and everything we have belongs to God and is to be used for His purposes. 

Key Verse: Matthew 25:23 (NIV) “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’”

Theme: How to begin a relationship with Jesus is not something we have to figure out on our own. The Good News is just that, GOOD NEWS, and He tells us exactly what we need to do next.
