  • August 25, 2024 ... Under Construction .. Community Life ...With Scott Veroneau
The stated mission of Community Life Church is that we love God, we love our neighbor and we connect people to Jesus. Our mission is the central focus in every aspect of church leadership and decision-making. With a heart to connect people to Jesus, we lean into the writings of the Apostle Paul to find clarity.
Romans 10 contains some of the most quoted scripture in the New Testament regarding salvation. These verses point to our core belief that salvation comes by faith. Paul follows this truth with the understanding that it is our responsibility, after becoming believers, to share our faith by carrying the good news of Jesus Christ to all the world. Since we are all still “under construction”, focus on this scripture strengthens one of the most fundamental aspects of our faith and enhances our ability to share the Gospel message with others.

Under ConstructionThis week in our series Under Construction, we ask ourselves, “If the Apostle Paul were to write a letter to Community Life Church, what would he write?”
Our task was to read through Paul’s writings and discover scripture that may speak specifically to the life of the church today. One such chapter is Romans 12. In Paul’s letter to the church in Rome, he lays out an amazing theological understanding of God’s plan of salvation. Chapter 12 transitions to looking forward and what life looks like as a believer. Paul calls us to a life of transformation which reveals the will of God in the believer's life.
This week we will explore how transformation in the life of a believer impacts the surrounding community. What would life be like if every believer operated in their gifting and allowed God to change how they see and understand life? As believers, we can do better. Transformation is no doubt key to God’s plan.

  • August 11, 2024 ... Under Construction .. Community Life ...With Scott Veroneau
Fall Launch (Aug 11): The early church set the standard for what a true community should look like. In Acts 2, the writer Luke gives us a beautiful snapshot of what the early church looked like. The early church ate together, worshiped together, fed one another and served wherever there was need. Luke’s description causes us to consider how we are doing in our communities of faith today.
In this first message, we will study the early church and discuss how the Holy Spirit connected believers around the areas of gathering, grouping, giving and serving.

  • August 4, 2024 .. Ephesians .. Community Life ...With Scott Veroneau
In his letter to the Ephesians Paul reminds the church that God chose Jews and Gentiles to be adopted into His family through Christ. Paul reminds those who believe to know the hope, the inheritance, and the power afforded to them as one unified body. But as one unified family, believers must live a life worthy of their calling as mature believers in healthy communities and healthy relationships.

  • July 28, 2024 .. Ephesians .. Community Life ...with Clint Jernigan
This Sunday, we will continue unpacking Paul's letter to the believers in Ephesus. Up to this point, he has built his case for how believers are included into God's family, are empowered to do the work of the church, and have been given an incredible inheritance.
This week, we will study how Paul helps apply our faith to our relationships with others. Paul encourages believers to offer themselves sacrificially and submissively inside of their marriages, in obedience and with responsibility amongst children and parents, and with humility and respect inside the relationships between leaders and followers. In an ancient society that valued self-promotion and power, Paul's words underline Jesus' upside-down kingdom, and his words are still useful to our lives today. We hope to see you this Sunday!
