This is the third part of the exposition of the Book of Jonah. Unusually among the Old Testament prophets, this book is more about the man rather than his message.

This teaching finishes off chapter 1 and completes chapter 2. The Lord provides a great fish (or whale) to rescue Jonah from the deep. Finally from within the belly of the creature, the rebellious prophet prays to the Lord his God. Jonah’s prayer is a beautiful example of Hebrew poetry.
