Mus'ab was afraid to anger his mother, and faced her wrath. She was Khunnas bint Malik, a woman of extraordinary power and dominant personality. But spies were everywhere in Makkah and soon enough someone spotted Mus'ab entering the house of Al-Arqam and praying in the same manner as the Prophet, peace be upon him. Thus began the journey of Mus'ab troubles with his mother and clan.

Born in a lap of affluence and luxury, Mus'ab ibn 'Umayr was a handsome and intelligent youth. He had good looks and style and most Quraysh admired him for his keen intellect. In his first meeting with the Prophet, peace be upon him, the young and decisive Mus'ab declared his acceptance of Islam.
