Once again, we gather to celebrate Christmas, the feast of light in the midst of darkness. Christ has come to visit humanity, and He has done so in a simple way. In Bethlehem, He is that small light destined to save the world.
When we speak of light, we are aware that our history is surrounded by darkness—by suffering, wars, or injustices.
Yet, once again, we have the opportunity to let ourselves be illuminated by the light of Christ and to share His light with our brothers and sisters.
Surely, each of us, in our own way, remembers a Christmas that has left a mark on our lives and still echoes in our memories and hearts. As long as we hold on to those moments, we will have hope and the conviction that we deserve to be happy.
Personally, I remember Christmas 2009 as one of the most special.
