Serving matters because it is THE medium through which we express the love of the One we are called to imitate as His disciples.

Matthew 22:37-39 Jesus replied, “You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”

Colossians 1:16-17 (ESV), 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

1. Understand the role of parenting through God’s created order.

2. Understand the role of authority in our child’s development.

3. Understand the role of discipline and instruction.

Our choice to love our spouse must direct our feelings about them — if not, our feelings will direct our choice concerning whether or not to love our spouse.
