You have two options as a business when it comes to dealing with millennials:

1) Complain about not understanding them and how spoiled they are.

2) Understand what they want and how to give it to them to attract and retain the best and brightest of their generation and win in business.

One of my favorite books of all time is the "Richest Man in Babylon".  In one of the stories in the book a son gets two value assets from his father before he goes off on his on in life.  

A tablet with words on it and some bags of gold. 

He quickly blows through the gold and is forced to work back breaking tough jobs just to survive.  

He hits rock bottom and reaches into this pouch to finally read the words his father put on the tablet he gave him.  They were words of wisdom of how to be wise with money and build wealth.  

He used those lessons to build back up the wealth his father left him and then some.  

The moral of the story...wisdom is ALOT more valuable than money.  That's why the app Ken Wimberly (our podcast guest today) created, "Legacy of Love App",  is so useful for parents interested in passion on there wisdom to their children.

College is very useful and helpful to many people, however, it's not for everyone.  And it's absolutely not required to increase your income in the digital age.  

According to Zip Recruiter, the average salary for data scientist in Dallas, Texas (and nationwide) is $118,000... training programs like DataReady DFW (the one our guest Dr. Angel Washington-Durr created) take less than a year for students to acquire the skills necessary to get hired.

Many people get into business and focus all of the energy and attention on the product (or service).  They feel having the "best" technical skills will get them the most clients/customers.  

Of course, you have to deliver an excellent product or service, but that's a given. 

What's also important and overlooked is being good with people.
