In this episode of “Complete Disarray With Jamie Ray”, host Jamie welcomes J Hall, host of the "Okie Bookcast" and author/professor, for a trip down memory lane to the golden age of Saturday mornings. Zooming into the Plastic Microphone Studios, J Hall joins Jamie to reminisce about those magical weekend mornings that defined a generation.

From the sugary cereals that fueled our cartoon marathons to the unforgettable animated adventures that kept us glued to the TV, Jamie and J explore what made Saturday mornings so special in the 1970s. The conversation ventures beyond the living room to discuss the toys that sparked our imaginations and the freedom of neighborhood bike rides—those hours spent exploring, adventuring, and building memories that would last a lifetime.

Whether you're a child of the '70s or simply curious about a time when Saturday mornings meant something truly special, this episode delivers a warm, funny, and heartfelt journey back to simpler times. Grab your bowl of nostalgia and tune in!

Seeing that he must return to his old ways to replete his "embezzlement", Donald tries to solve his quandary by attacking dangerous criminals, all whilst struggling with the romantic advances of the blood bank's secretary (Sandra Dickinson), an investigative police detective (Paul Gleason), and vampire hunter Rupert Van Helsing (Michael Berryman).

Ep13 "Spoiled" from The Haunt of Fear #26. Directed by Andy Wolk. Written by Connie Johnson & Doug Ronning. Originally aired on August 21, 1991.

In a meta-layered spoof of daytime soap operas, Janet (Faye Grant), a housewife who is obsessed with the soap opera There's Always Tomorrow and watches the program religiously, is annoyed that her doctor husband, Leon (Alan Rachins), is more obsessed with experimenting on a rabbit than spending time with her. When her TV loses picture at a crucial moment in the show, Janet calls in a cable man named Abel (Anthony LaPaglia), to have cable installed. Inspired by There's Always Tomorrow's no-nonsense main character, Fuschia Monroe (Anita Morris), Janet begins a steamy affair with Abel while Leon is distracted with his work. When Leon catches the two of them in the act, he soon wonders if he could try his experiment on human subjects.

Welcome back to Complete Disarray, where we dive deep into the most random topics. I'm your host Jamie Ray, and today I'm joined by the incomparable Super Gus to unpack one of the most haunting space odysseys ever put to film - the Swedish Danish masterpiece "Aniara."

Imagine boarding a luxury spaceship for what should be a routine three-week journey to Mars, only to find yourself set adrift in the cosmic void with no way home. That's just the beginning of this remarkable meditation on humanity's relationship with Earth, technology, and our own mortality. Released in 2018, "Aniara" takes us on a journey that spans decades, following a "Mimarobe" - an operator of an AI system designed to comfort passengers with memories of Earth - as hope gradually unravels aboard a ship that becomes both sanctuary and tomb.

Today, Super Gus and I will explore how this film transforms a simple evacuation narrative into an unflinching examination of human nature when faced with the prospect of eternal drift. We'll dive into its themes of environmental collapse, artificial consciousness, and the various ways humans cope with existential dread - from fertility cults to virtual reality escapism.

So, strap in for a conversation that's equal parts philosophical journey and psychological horror as we chart the course of humanity's last voyage among the stars. The Aniara awaits.

*WARNING* This movie contains scenes of sex, suicide, and violence.
