Mialy is a rising senior at UC Berkeley studying Computer Science with a minor in Public Policy. We discuss the intersections of her two interests, along with ways that UC Berkeley CS can improve going forward.

Farhiya Ali is a graduating senior from UC Berkeley's Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus in equitable user interfaces. We reflect on her time here, from the work she does with the STEM community to discovering how to include her passions in her studies. She leaves behind a strong legacy, and will be doing great things.

Sophomore Hailey Garcia joins me and shares her experiences in the UC Berkeley M.E.T. program and how her identities and life experiences shapes her time at Cal. We discuss a variety of topics, from lack of ethics requirements to gentrification's environmental impacts on Bay Area communities.

Welcome to Compute This, a podcast by and for underrepresented minorities in UC Berkeley Computer Science. The program gives its students a lot of benefits, but it also fails a large population of its students. My hope is to create space for the students who have been failed by the program to share their experiences and stories. Everything you hear is created by yours truly, from the stories to the music.
