EDIT 12/29/2019: I’ve learned more about sound recording and editing, and switched podcast hosting to archive.org. (Please consider a donation to that wonderful, valuable resource). Episodes are set to feed to iTunes and Spotify now, as well. You can now listen here:

Greetings comrades!

In today’s episode, I explore the commonalities between Capitalism and the economic systems that preceded it. I hope you’ll listen and share it with your family and friends.

This is hard work we are doing, trying to deprogram ourselves and decolonize our minds and our social structures, so there are going to be times when we will struggle with the emotional labor of it all – and if we are white, we need to work extra hard not to be fragile. We need to be accountable for the racist, white supremacist structures that have enabled our privilege. Even if we aren’t the ones who built those, we still continue to benefit from those, and that is at the expense of our non-white comrades. This meme popped up on my social media timeline today, and I think it is something to both take to heart and mind, and remember it when we start feeling defensive. It is far more courageous to be accountable than to weasel away from it.

I’m working on lots more content to be released every Thursday. If you have a story idea, are interested in being interviewed, being a guest, or if you are a Leftist artist producing art, music, poetry, or fiction and would like to be featured either on the podcast or blog, please get in touch!

Here are the links mentioned during the show, and others that you may find helpful.

In Solidarity,

Trase/The Birb

Greetings, comrades!

I know it’s taken longer than originally anticipated, but here’s the debut of my podcast! I want you to be able to read for yourself the articles and information that I cite, so here’s a set of links from today’s episode, which I hope you’ll give a listen to at the link below.

EDIT 10/19/2019 16:32 est: A dear friend kindly pointed out that I mistakenly credit “A Wrinkle In Time” to Ursula LeGuin, when I SHOULD have said “A Warrior Of Earthsea.” Ha! My fingers were on autopilot writing that in the script. Mea culpa. ????

Please let me know if I missed any links I mentioned in the story and I’ll be happy to edit with updates.

Have questions? Comments or suggestions for an episode theme? So long as you are interested in talking about how humanity can move forward in a just, inclusive, equal manner, please send me a note. Head over to my contact page.

P.S. If you are a Capitalist Apologist (aka, bootlicker, in the parlance) here to defend this unjust, unfair system that is killing us all, then if you send me a note there’s a good likelihood I’ll delete it. OR, depending on my mood and how many spoons I have left, you might also get mocked mercilessly here and on social media. So, roll the die, I guess, but you will not change my mind about Capitalism. I don’t owe you a debate. I don’t owe you shit.
