1979's The China Syndrome is one of the best examples of predictive programming we have, IMO. Twelve days later, the incident at Three Mile Island occurred very similarly to the disaster in the film. 

Today, due to the influx of these damn data centers, we're told nuclear power for the electrical grid is basically the only option.

Silent Running is an interesting film. To me, it loses some potency by trying to chase too many plots in the same movie. Is it about environmentalism and conservation? Is it about isolation and dependence on robots to deal with ennui and loneliness? Somehow it tries to do too much. BUT: each theme is even more relevant now than in 1972.

Then, in 1985, the band Mike + the Mechanics records the song "Silent Running," which was loosely based on the '72 film. 🌠The More You Know lol.

I recently watched the Coen brothers' 1994 film, The Hudsucker Proxy. Part spoof of Capra films and old-fashioned screwball comedies and part neon flashing sign for what's happening in the modern era, it's a movie worth watching.

➡️ Mussburger's "pump and buy" scheme feels eerily similar to what is happening across the US economy right now. Are we being primed for Agenda 2030?

➡️ The mass media and Corporate America work in tandem to create a narrative for the public. 

➡️ The mailroom scenes are as good as Office Space vis-à-vis the repetitive, overly important, soul-crushing experience of a job in the corporate grind. 

There's a bit of scratchiness with the audio in places. I am not sure why. I think my shirt collar may have rubbed against the microphone when it was clipped on. I apologize. 😣
