Did you make all the phone calls you needed to make yesterday for Mother's Day?  Isn't it great to hear Mom's voice and counsel?  Do you stay in touch with her as you should?  Why not?  Calling people today is easier than it has ever been.  And guess what?  Prayer has always been super easy for us to stay connected and in touch with God our Father!  And yet, many do not.  Listen to today's devotional and may it bless your life with new actions you can take to stay connected with God!

What are you getting Mom for Mother's Day?  Is it the same thing as last year?  Have you discovered what the "tie" for Mom is (like what most Dads get every year?  Or used to?). In the same way, this psalm is asking us what are we offering to God every time we gather for worship?  Are we giving God oven mitts and ties?  Listen and be blessed!

The beautiful hymn called Spirit of the Living God has the refrain, "Fall afresh on me" and it came to mind as we studied the closing verses of chapter 10 of The Book of Acts.  In that passage we see the continuing, powerful work of God's Holy Spirit on the lives of those who needed Him.  Listen to today's message and be blessed!

Do you have the kind of love and faith that can and will conquer the world for God?  I pray that you do!  If not, I'm glad you tuned in to hear about the power of love; love is a powerful force that is not easily defeated; in fact one of the Disciples saw it as that which will make possible the conquering of the world.  Tune in and turn on to love!

I hope you are not a stranger to love.  Even if you are, please learn this one thing:  God has always, and will always, love you!  No requirements, no preconditions, nada, nada, nada, can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus!  Listen to what the Gospel lesson for this coming Sunday shares with us!

When did you begin to fully enjoy worshipping God?  Or have you?  My life changed when I was about 8 or 9 years old and my minister said I should invite Jesus into my heart as Lord and Savior.  I did, and I had a completely different attitude toward God and towards worship.  I remember telling my parents that I no longer wanted to go to school!  I wanted to be in church from Monday through Friday learning about God and I could use Sunday to learn how to do the schooly things the state wanted me to do!  I guess that should have been a clue to my parents as to what my future was going to be all about!  Listen to what the Psalmist says in Psalm 22 for today's devotional.  Share it with those who need an encouraging word!

Do you know the four magic words from the Bible that God uses when God calls someone to follow and / or do something for Him?  Listen and find out what they are; then ask yourself, "If God has asked something of me, how am I doing in response to that invitation or command?"  Be blessed and share a blessing with someone today!

Love comes from God.  And love comes ready to share!  What good does God's love do if we receive it and keep it only for ourselves?  The lesson for today from 1 John is all about sharing and living as God's anointed people; people of love, who learn to love God more and as a result love others more as well.  Listen and be blessed!  Hear God's Holy Spirit speak to your heart and situation; become a person of love for all people!

Have you ever invited Jesus to come into your heart to be your Lord and Savior?  If you have, congratulations, and praise the Lord!  If you haven't, let this be the day in which you do invite Him to be your personal Lord and Savior.  Listen to today's message from John and how Jesus is the vine and we are the branches and what is expected of us if we are to be part of a growing, powerful vine!  

The power of the 23rd Psalm is eternal.  It is a short, but powerful psalm that has inspired and strengthened so many throughout the years it has been with us.  It was the favorite of many presidents; used and prayed by generals before battles; and provides a hymn of hope for many nations ad many families and individuals.  How many times do you think you have heard it in your life?  Could you hear it now as if you were hearing it for the first time?  Could you let its words address and attack your fears, especially those haunting, nagging fears that keep you up at night and cause you to toss and turn?  Give a listen!
