Imagine minding your own business one day when the Lord God appears and ask you, yes you, to preach a word on His behalf.  You learn what the word is, and you get scared out of your mind; "Are you sure, Lord, you want me doing that?"  Listen and be blessed to hear a sermon on Advent by the Prophet Isaiah.

When we were kids news of our aunt's visit to Kingsville from all the way from McAllen excited us!  The news was an advent of sorts, and the excitement and preparation for her arrival was awesome!  And in the same way, news of Christ Jesus returning back for us should also excite us and prompt us to be ready and awake!  Listen and be blessed with what Jesus said about that day!

Unlike the wicked kings of fairy tales, God is a loving and kind king, and we should not forget that God made His Son, Jesus our King.  As we worship this coming Sunday that Christ is the King, let the word of this passage instruct us to faithfulness and fruitfulness.
