The ANC in the Overberg region of the Western Cape says it is deeply concerned by the recent protest in Swellendam. Angry community members blockaded the N2 and torched a municipal building - Just a few weeks after another municipal office was set alight. The irate protesters are still unhappy about the application process for indigent benefits and service delivery in the area.
