A professional conductor is laying the groundwork for a world-standard community orchestra in Logan.

Dr Lewes Peddell has spent five years developing the concept of the Logan City Orchestras, which aims to fill a void for musicians.

Dr Peddell told Gary Hardgrave on 4BC Drive, "When you build the orchestra it's about the music, it is about the perfection and the excellence we're trying to achieve...Ultimately, it's about people coming together."
