The church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is for everyone so why then do we sometimes think we don't belong. We will discuss this drawing on talks from the most recent General Conference given by Elder D. Todd Christofferson, Sister J. Anette Dennis and Elder Ryan K. Olsen.

As we finish this season of Conference in Review, we reflect once again on the invitation to share the joy of the gospel in our lives and realize that NOW is the time for us to make the changes and do what we have putting off for tomorrow. Enjoy the general conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints next weekend.

Elder Holland speaks of the light in Christ that is there to guide us through darkness. Among the topics discussed in this episode are family history, suicide and why general conference can be so boring for children. Don't forget to check us out on Facebook to join the conversation! There is safety in God's fold but often we are tempted to leave because of the fiery darts of the adversary. These two talks perfectly complement one another in our quest to join God's fold and not be lured away.

Let's face it, we are living in a metaphorical storm these days. President Eyring's talk addresses this and how to build a foundation in Christ that will keep us safe in the storm. Derek and Dana discuss this talk and compare it to a talk he was inspired to borrow from in April 2006 called As a Child

Lessons at the Well by Susan H. Porter and Christ Heals That Which is Broken by Amy A. Wright. Two very important stories of healing in the Bible are about broken women. Isn't it interesting that Christ chose to open his ministry to a woman so mired in baggage that she couldn't even draw water from the well when others were around? Christ's message of healing is for all.

As the children go back to school, it made us think of all the peer pressure they face to go against things that they know are right. This sort of pressure never really goes away in adulthood. How often have you been tempted to give into arguing your point rather than letting it go? We talk about the pressures of living a Christ centered life in a Me centered world. President Oaks seeks to eliminate misunderstandings about why the Church of Jesus Christ believes in marriage between a man and a woman and that gender is an essential characteristic of individual identity. Understanding is the key to eliminating contention.

Often times after we've had a great spiritual experience in our lives we fall back into a rut. This rut can last weeks, months and maybe even years. You may look at other people on fire with the gospel and you wonder why you aren't feeling it. Maybe life hasn't turned out even close to the way you'd hoped. These talks from the April 2022 general conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints address that.
Here's a great Come Follow Me podcast link I reference in this episode by Melanie Stroud: Episode 25 – Esther “Thou Art Come … for Such a Time as This” – Come Follow Me, for Us (comefollowmeforus.com)
Great news, I am also updating our website. Yes, a real website for you to check out and leave reviews. It will be www.conferenceinreview.com
It should be ready in a few days!
