We sat down with talented fourteen-year-old singer-songwriter Arielle Perez, out of Caledon, Ontario, Canada. Her recent EP, Fourteen, is now available, and track number four titled, "Find the Way", ought to be the anthem for the younger generation, full of hope, positivity and self-love. "It’s all about the kindness we should spread" echoes throughout the song's lyrics, but it also echoes through Arielle's message and her personal journey.
Creating a name for herself throughout the Toronto area, Arielle connects with her fans both as a solo artist as well as being a part of Canada's hit all-girl pop-rock group Girl Pow-R. The staff at Confessional Magazine were blown away that a group of young women would come together to not only entertain people when they need it the most, but this group also gives back to many different causes, such as The Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Arielle Perez has a true heart of compassion with a voice to match.

Emily Johnson is the owner of Tavolino, in Athens, Ohio. In Italian 'tavolino" means little table, but the heart and support that Emily and Tavolino pour into the Athens community is anything but small.
From hand-rolled pasta to the most exquisite Tiramisu, there truly is love in every bite at Tavolino.
Nestled in the foothills of Appalachia, Tavolino sits on the west side of Athens, Ohio, which is home to Ohio University. Appalachia has long been known for its poverty, and Athens County is no different, with a staggering $37,000 median household income when compared to the national median average of almost $70,000. What Athens lacks in money, Emily makes up for in heart.
Even before covid dramatically changed life for this small business owner, Emily was invested in the community and runs a "Soup-on-Hold" program, which feeds many members of the community regardless of if they can necessarily pay for the meal or not. With quarantine essentially shutting down Tavolino's inside-dining for the greater part of the last year, Emily knew that this didn't mean her business would go under, but that it was now her business to go full-force into the community when the people in our area are losing their jobs and more desperate than ever.
To this date, Emily has been donated over $10,000, from both neighbors and strangers alike, who have heard Emily's mission and seen her drive to make ALL of Athens County one step closer to being fed.

Author and motivational speaker Nicole Phillips' message is one of joy and hope. I first heard of Nicole and her story because her husband Saul was the head men's basketball coach at Ohio University, here in the small Appalachian town of Athens, Ohio, where I have lived since 2007. I'm not sure if it is like this in small towns everywhere, but in Athens, you know the "good" people in town, and from 2014-2019, it was the Phillips family.
Nicole's mission to share the importance of kindness and treating yourself with value comes after an unconventional life and not knowing where she belonged.
There is definitely more to Nicole Phillips story.

We were first introduced to Jacob Windham-Burke on Bravo TV Network’s Real Housewives of Orange County. Being one of seven children, Jacob has truly paved the way and carved out his own identity. Appearing on the show for the first time with the support of his parents Sean Burke and Braunwyn Windham-Burke, Devine Devon, is Jacob transformed into his drag persona in a long blonde wig and gorgeous blue gown.
We sat down, via Zoom, with the teen as he called in from his bedroom in Orange County, California. His bedroom was dimly lit, as Jacob met us with the typical awkward chuckles of an everyday teen being thrown into conversation with an adult. When asked what it was like having all the cameras and camera crew around for the show, Jacob was unbothered, “The thing is, there are already so many people in my house, that it doesn't really change much. There are just a couple more people there so I don't really notice it. I never really did.”
Wearing a hoodie and sweatpants, which Jacob says is what you can find him in most days, he had just finished virtual school, something he says has taken some getting used to, but that he is happy to do if it means it is keeping people safe.

American socialite, philanthropist, and Bravo TV Network Below Deck's most recent charter guest, Jackie Siegel, also known as "The Queen of Versailles", has such an important story to be told, and it was an honor sitting down with her.
Jackie and her husband, David, lost their daughter Victoria to a drug overdose in 2012, but they have since turned their tragedy into a beautiful mission to bring awareness to the opioid epidemic that is plaguing America. Victoria had kept a diary of her time here, and Jackie has since published the intimate journal and started "Victoria's Voice", whose mission is to combat drug addiction, and show our youth that they do not have to take the path that so many have unfortunately followed.
The Queen of Versailles had previously been a charter guest on Below Deck Mediterranean with Captain Sandy, and although her husband was never previously a fan of yachting, he could not pass up the opportunity to travel the seas with Captain Lee after seeing the amazing experience Jackie had during her first experience on the yacht. The Siegel family boarded their private jet and took off to Antigua for the family adventure of a lifetime, and we are thrilled that they shared this experience with us. When the family landed, producers informed them that their was only one rule onboard; not to speak to Captain Lee about the loss of his son Joshua.
While exploring the mega-yacht, the Siegel's stumbled upon the bridge door, and without hesitation, David opened it, and there stood Captain Lee. Something happened within those next few minutes that was unexplainable, Jackie continued, as she spoke of the immediate bond that David and Captain Lee formed. The loss a parent goes through when a child passes is unlike any other, but the strength the Siegel's gave to Captain Lee and vice versa, is a beautiful thing, and Lee and David remain close to this day.
Victoria's Voice Foundation is making so many major strides throughout our nation, and the impact the Siegel's are making on both our hearts and our communities is endless. Catch Jackie on this week (and next!) of Below Deck on Bravo TV Network.
