Today's episode is based off the 2025 October General Conference talk by Elder Gong titled, "No One Sits Alone." In order to be someone who can reach out to others who are lonely, those who are new, those who are different, we need confidence. Today I discussed five ways to help us develop that confidence.
1. Know who you are - especially your identity as a child of God
2. Be more Christlike - developing genuine charity for yourself and others
3. Judge less - learning the difference between discernment and harmful judgment
4. Worry less - letting go of constant concern about others' opinions
5. Repent - the ongoing process of growth and course-correction
When we do this internal work we learn to love ourselves—not in a self-absorbed way, but in a way that creates space to truly love others. We become secure enough to be the person who reaches out, who makes room, who includes others as Christ did.
