It's like, I may be a little bit further ahead, but I want to help shine my light so you can see your light.
[00:21:47] I had to unlearn that as an entrepreneur I had to be in this “hustle hard” mode, but also on top of that, that I had to buy into the strong black woman persona. And that was a hard one to learn for me.
[00:28:37] Our self care is at war and living the life that you truly desire is revolutionary. And what do I mean by saying that it's revolutionary is that we're taught to show our love we need to sacrifice. We're taught that that's how we validate who we are. To validate that I'm a good person, I need to show that I can sacrifice better than anyone else. And what makes self-care and self-love revolutionary is that you're breaking up with that norm, with the society that tells us what we should be doing and I want them to know that that is the key to your success, but it's not always going to be easy.
