For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.

The danger described by the Apostle Paul is ‘Confirmation Bias’, the tendency to interpret evidence and reality in such a way as to affirm what we want to believe. All of us have it to some degree. It is not sinful of itself—but it can be a doorway to deception. Understanding confirmation bias is crucial for maintaining a Christian faith rooted in biblical truth rather than our own desires.
