This week in The Labia Lounge I spoke with James Gill, AKA Fish, about how to communicate and resolve conflict with your partner (or anyone, really!).
Communication isn't something we're role modelled or taught about how to do well and it's a massive pain point for so many of us. I'd go as far as saying it's the downfall of many relationships!
Fish and I talked about:
- How to approach a conflict from a space of heart-centered compassion and understanding
- What the common dynamics and triggers are in couples' communication breakdowns
- Why people find it so hard to communicate and the common responses that occur when conflict arises
- How to communicate your needs and meet in the middle when hearing the other person's needs
- Strategies for finding ways to communicate and get on the same team about resolving conflict when it arises
- And some practical tips and advice for how to practice better, more clear, mature and loving communication skills next time you find yourself faced with a crunchy convo!
This episode is so full of value and real life examples of how this all plays out and can be implemented in the real world. James is such a wealth of knowledge and understanding, and a dream to chat with. He's a Heart Coach and yoga teacher, committed to all beings having access to the experience of love in their relationships, even in the moments where love seems to have gone missing. So I'd highly recommend checking out his work here: www.leadyheart.com
Plus you can expect all the usual antics and hilarious, vulnerable n' relatable personal stories and signature segments that you've come to know and love here in The Labia Lounge!
Make sure you're subscribed for more LL action, and it'd absolutely warm my heart and tickle my clit if you'd leave a gushing review or five star rating for the poddy!
