  • S01E05: Why is Mary Our Queen?
The Confraternity of Christ the King obviously honors Christ as our King, and we've seen in the past, many times, why that is the case and why it is important. But we also emphasize the queenship of Mary, the Ever-Virgin, the Mother of God; and indeed, we hold that properly honoring Christ as King *must* be accompanied by properly honoring Mary as Queen. We explain the three bases for this honor: Mary's Motherhood of God; the laws of the Jews; and the perfection of Mary's person.

  • S01E04: Christ the King and Translations
Translations and what the mean for the doctrine of Christ the King. In this episode, we discuss *translations*, particularly the CCR's translations of certain papal encyclicals and why we bothered to make them. We briefly discuss the problems with the transcriptions of the Latin texts on the Vatican website, then at somewhat more length a few genuine problems with the Vatican translation of Immortale Dei. We use this to explain a little of the history of the doctrine of Christ the King, as well as a few points of doctrine. Finally, we close with a brief recounting of the CCR's policy on translations.

  • S01E03: When is the Feast of Christ the King?
In this episode, we discuss the date of the feast of Christ the King: when it is, why it is where it is, and where it should be. We briefly discuss the new “Feast of Jesus Christ, King of All Things”, and why its place in the liturgical calendar is problematic. The feast of Christ the King, we conclude, is and should be on the last Sunday of October.

  • S01E02: Is Christ's Kingship Yet to Come?
In this episode, we discuss the scope of Christ's kingship in *time*; that is, is He our King right here and right now, or is His kinship something that we must wait to see until He comes again, at the last day? We show that Christ is, in fact, King yesterday, today, and forever, and explain what our duty is in light of this fact.

  • S01E01: Who is Christ the King?
In this episode, we go back to the very basics: Who is Christ the King? What is facially a very easy question turns out to involve a lot more than many think. Acknowledging Christ the King is a profound, life-changing act; we discuss on what the kingship of Christ is based, how we must acknowledge it, and how that acknowledgement should change our lives.

  • S01E00: What is the Point of the Confraternity?
The Confraternity of Christ the King is an association of faithful dedicated to the spread of the doctrine of Christ the King, especially as enunciated by Pope Pius XI in his encyclical Quas Primas. Here, we discuss the importance of devotion to Christ the King, give a brief explanation of the structure of the Confraternity, and ask for people to join our ranks.
