Just like Nehemiah rebuilt the broken walls of Jerusalem, God wants to rebuild and restore our broken lives. We continue to look forward to how He is also going to help us restore the old Walmart building into our future home.

God is on the move, and He wants us to move along with him. Today we start a brand new series at Connect where we'll discover how He is moving us into the next phase of Conect's journey here in Washington.

On the day Jesus rose from the dead, he met up with two disciples walking to Emmaus. At first, they didn't recognize who He was. They didn't realize that Jesus had been walking beside them all along. This morning we discover that before many of us realized it, Jesus was walking beside us too.

What must have it been like for the disciples on that Saturday? Jesus had died and had yet to rise again. Confusion? Disillusionment? Fear? How do you get through those moments when it seems Jesus didn't do what you thought He would do in your life? Don't give up. Like the disciples, you may find that you are just one day away from victory.

We see Jesus at Gethsemane this week.
