Raising children today can be an overwhelming task. We discover today that God doesn't want us to do this alone, and that He has some great advice on how we can do that.

We are strong because of the power of God. It is Him who fights for us, and the fight is not against one another but against evil. We are our strongest when we realize the fight is not against my brother or sister, but against evil, and we are strongest when we allow God’s power to fight for us and through us.

In this special Mother's Day service, we get to hear about the organization Young Lives - A great group making a difference in the lives of local teen moms.

Each of us has been equipped by God with certain gifts. These gifts were given “…to equip God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up…” Discover your unique gift and how you can use it.

Dallas Willard writes, “Grace is not opposed to effort, but to earning. Paul writes in Philippians to “work out our salvation” but he isn’t telling us to earn it, but rather, to “live it out.” This week is about being a work in progress. Give yourself grace on the journey.
