On this family service we look at one more idea from our Losing Your Marbles series - Fun Over Time. What if as well as Love, Time and Tribes, we were to plan on investing Fun into the time we spend with the child in our life? We might be amazed at the difference it can make in their lives AND ours.

This week we learn from the life of Joseph about his commitment to reconcile with his family. As Christ-followers we have our identity as a member of the Church, our spiritual family.

Serving is not just a good thing to do. It is who we are as Christ-followers: people who live life not primarily to serve themselves but to serve Jesus and the world He loves.

Kevin Smith, a missionary to Kenya, shared this morning about what God is doing over there, and how the funds raised by our kids last year helped with the youth camps they organize.

Christ followers are called to embrace their identity as aliens (the foreigner kind, not the extra-terrestrial kind); as people who live different from the world, but still influence the world.

Today we wrap up our Losing Your Marbles series on our Baby Dedication Service. We finish with the idea that Beginning with the End in Mind will help prepare you to influence the child in your life.

This week we look at the power of LOVE over time in the life of a child. In particular we look at how we can be more intentional in loving each child the way God decided them to be loved.

Everyone is looking for a place to belong, and this week we focus on that as we look at Tribes over Time. Outside of the family, the church is one of the greatest Tribes a child can belong to in order to discover the purpose that God has for their lives.

This week we join other churches across the country in celebrating Compassion Sunday. Compassion International is an organization that exists to "rescue children from poverty in Jesus name", and we will learn how Connect is partnering with them to make an impact on the lives of children all over the World.

This week we kick off a brand new series at Connect – Losing Your Marbles. We look at TIME, and how we can spend it best to impact the life of a child in our lives.
