Emmanuel Murangira Country Director Rwanda Tearfund talks about he transforming power of communities in Rwanda.

Emmanuel was born in a refugee camp in Burundi to Rwandan parents who had fled their home due to the violent conflict there in the 1960s. They had lost all their material possessions, but kept their deep Christian faith.

My name is Emmanuel. It means ‘God is with us’. And God has been with me.

Rachel Dhillon Team Leader from 24/7 Prayer Scotland draws us into the Lords Prayer as we continue through our series in Matthew.

Rachel leads the national team and work of 24-7 Prayer Scotland. 

She lives in Newton Mearns and has a heart to see prayer and justice flow throughout Scotland. 

In 2010, Rachel was given a copy of Red Moon Rising and God on Mute to read by her youth leader in response to her persistent questions about prayer and where God was in the silence. In 2017, Rachel first connected with the 24-7 Scotland Team after God set her heart on fire while in a prayer room in Austria to see unity in the church in Scotland! 

Rachel is married to Lal and when she isn’t caring for wee Micah, she can be found playing music or watching Ice Hockey.

Continuing our series in Matthew, specially invited guest Charlie Maasz current Chief Executive for Glasgow City Mission.

Charles was appointed chief executive in 2019 after a career as a Commercial Property Surveyor having first studied Land Economics. He also has experience in hospitality and full time Christian ministry. A preacher in the Baptist Union he is as at home in the scriptures as he is on his motorbike – the Rev rev!
