"But I want it now!"
Don't we all?! I'm sure that whatever you're longing for you would love to have it now rather than wait weeks, months or years for.
It's human nature.
Consider this episode as a reminder for you to have patience and faith in seeking what you want, and gratitude to keep you happy in the now.
Making sacrifices and trade-offs today are part of the recipe to getting what you want in the future - no matter what it is.
You can do it!
Have a listen for some encouragement.
Brene Brown is the queen of talking about shame and vulnerability. She's researched this and so much more.
She's not a guest on this episode, but Sharla has been inspired by some of her topics and wanted to share her own thoughts on this important work.
As Brene says, we must be vulnerable in order to create intimacy. Vulnerability comes from having courage to share our deepest, darkest wounds and secrets. Courage comes from the heart.
Sharla reflects on all of this in this episode and also shares how meditation helps to live courageously from the heart. <3
In honour of her new school - The School of Meditation & Transformative Studies, Sharla is talking about stress on today's episode.
Positive stress, negative stress, what stress does in our bodies and why its so important to use a practice like meditation to reset our bodies. This promotes health and longevity.
She finishes off with a special treat - a meditation! Completely guided where you get to try several different kinds of meditation.

Melanie is the owner of a financial education centre. We talk about her journey to this business along roads less travelled. First of all, she was a female engineer who then left her government job to pursue her business!
In the second half of the episode she shares 5 main things to learn about to have your finances in good order.
She considers herself someone who has always gone against the grain and now lives according to her own values. Living her life according to her own values creates more happiness and fulfillment for her.
That is my wish for you!
Enjoy!

What does it mean to you to be a nice person?
Do you wear this compliment with pride as a badge of honour?
As a person who is often called "nice" Sharla has some thoughts about it. A compliment? Sure. It's appreciated.
But as a woman who is 'nice' is it because you don't want to speak out, sharing your real thoughts and opinions? After all, we have been raised that way. To be nice little girls: quiet, don't take up too much space or rock the boat.
Let's re-evaluate being nice. Not suggesting to be nasty or mean, but speak out, take up space.
Step outside of the box we've been put into!
Feeling empowered means to feel strong and more confident.
As a Women's Empowerment Coach, Sharla LOVES to hear about women feeling empowered. In this week's episode she's sharing some simple but mighty things that make her feel empowered.
She also talks about how perspective changes things and how her feelings of empowerment may be related to asking for help.
A quick episode packed with lots of goodness! Enjoy!
In this quick episode Sharla is checking in with a quick, playful reminder to do something to treat and spoil yourself. Make yourself feel amazing!
She shares what she LOVES to do to treat herself and gives you some ideas too in case you're not sure where to start!
In part II of the interview with Gretchen (Sex & Dating Coach) we get into the top myths in sex, dating and relationships.
We also talk about how our socialization as boys/girls masculine/feminine when growing up has consequences on how we show up in our relationships.
And finally - Gretchen shares 3 things you can do to make dating fun!
If you want to explore your own sexuality (with or without a partner) she has a great checklist that you can download: www.gretchenshanks.com/checklist
She talks about how you can use the checklist in this episode too!
Empowering you!
Gretchen is a Sex & Dating Coach, but before talk therapy and intensive holistic experiential healing she was far from rocking the dating scene and knowing what she enjoyed in sex.
After doing the work she saw herself transform: her dating life and life in general. Changing the stories she had created about herself and knowing herself more intimately increased her confidence.
Now she coaches others to connect with their own sexuality to increase their confidence in sex and dating.
We talk about her story and one of the big myths about sex and dating.
