Lilly Driscoll raised more than $1000 for cats in need. Her and her mother reached out to friends and family and requested they make raffle baskets and they were posted on Lilly's live for Kitties Facebook page they sold tickets for the baskets. The money was divided between two animal based area charities--Ruth Watsmunski who fosters and homes stray cats and Hopes Dream Rescue and Sanctuary.

They'll have their grand opening at 108 Main Street in Brookville on Friday, Nov. 6 at 10 a.m.

Please join them to buy signed copies of books from local authors, and there will also be thousands of gently used books in a variety of genres for sale.

The Brockway Borough Council is ready to advertise its 2021 budget.

The new budget has no tax increase and will be voted on in the December meeting.

Councilman Armando Fortunato said the finance committee was able to quickly get to the budget without a tax increase.
