Thank you to a local business owner who wanted to bring our Make-A-Wish total to a nice round number... $100,000.

When Benny Gordon heard that we were only $547.08 from $100,000, he went home to write a check.

Thank you to Benny, Staar Trucking, and the Day Spa du Bois for bringing our grand total for the 26th Annual Light Up a Child's Life campaign for Make-A-Wish to $100,000.

Merakey Education and Autism (in partnership with Parkside Community Center, Square One, and the Annie Clement Foundation) is providing a free way for kids to meet Santa and do some Christmas crafts in a stress-free, sensory-friendly environment.

All you have to do is show up at the Parkside Community Center in DuBois to see Santa on Sunday, Dec. 22 from 1 until 3 p.m.

Everything is free, and you can even make some crafts. Don’t forget to bring your camera!

Want to make your holidays a little simpler? CJ Packaging on Beaver Drive in DuBois is offering Gift Wrapping Services.

Your first 10 gifts are $2 per gift. After 10 gifts, the price is a $1 per gift.

All proceeds benefit our adults with intellectual disabilities; we will be purchasing classroom supplies to help our participants learn the necessary work skills to enter an employment setting.

CJ Packaging will offer gift wrapping from now until Monday, Dec. 23. They are open Monday-Friday 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
