More than 14,000 computers have been saved from landfills and are back in the hands of students, thanks to a local man.
Aaron Prisk says it started when he was working in IT for the West Branch School District, where he noticed that, just like a lot of other schools, there were older computers that were gathering dust. He now works in Curwensville and continues the project there.
Aaron put together an operating system called CorvOS, a free Linux OS that focuses on making it easy for teachers and staff to keep the computers updated and secure for the students.
