Next to Normal, an award-winning rock musical about mental health, opens tonight at the Reitz Theater in DuBois.
Jason Valentine, the director of the show, says although mental illness generally isn’t the most comfortable topic, the musical makes it surprisingly relatable.
The story focuses on a mother who struggles with worsening bipolar disorder and the effects it has on her family.
This show contains mature themes and language.
