On today's episode, we're talking about 2 recent laws passed in Utah (following a trend from other states). You can read more about both of those laws at these links:

When we recorded this episode a few weeks ago, we were reacting to the unfortunate trend of anti-trans and anti-DEI laws that have been expanding to more states. Marcus Carter II joined us again to offer some larger analysis of what trends like this mean and our responsibility to push back against them.
This was recorded before the unfortunate death of Nex Benedict on February 8th. Their death underscores the need for all of us to increase our understanding and commitment to trans, non-binary, and non-conforming identities and resist the push to other or criminalize people who are different from us. This community needs the same support, protection, and compassion that the cisgender community relies on.
