It's an unsettling question and a blunt approach. And yet, it is also a key question every heart must wrestle with. But there is second question every Christian must ask, "Have I taken Christ as my Portion and my Cup?" That's the question we will explore this morning.

David says in Psalm 16:5 "LORD, you alone are my portion and my cup". This means David ranks the LORD as his top joy and his great hope. David's choice inspires his worship, informs his service and secures his heart amid the troubles and threats he faces. Every Christian who takes Christ as their Portion and Cup will experience a similar blessing.
