In this episode I interview LCSW Stella Ocampo @thestellarclinician and she shared advice on how to maintain positive mental health through this crazy pandemic. So much has changed for all of us throughout this time and Stella helped leave me and the audience with some daily practices to cope with the new stressors in my life such as: WFH, Zoom, Isolation and much much more. We also go to dive into why boxing is great for mental health.
I don't want to give it away in the bio but I'll say this, mental health advice is helpful for EVERYONE! I promise there is something of value you'll be able to pull from this episode so go take a listen. After you do...
Please:
In this episode I tell the "This is good" story of the African King and his best friend, and leave you with my 3 step system to keeping a positive mindset when faced with adversity.
This episode was inspired from a book I'm reading about this concept called "Embrace the suck" by Brent Gleeson a former Navy Seal. Navy Seals are experts in uncomfortable situations and there is so much to learn from them.
So in the episode I share some of my perspective on facing adversity, and how I've adopted the "embrace the suck" mindset of the seals.
I believe success is achieved by ordinary people with extraordinary determination - Zig Ziglar
I couldn’t agree more. I think most successful people are extremely ordinary and just have a different type of drive and work ethic in their DNA. They have grit. Are you working on a long-term goal that is a big goal and seems a little daunting at times? In this episode were going to tell you some stories about people that didn't give up and give you 3 reasons why you should never give up on your dreams
In this episode I'll be talking about:
Also hence the name I have created a fun challenge to enforce positive habits, but you've got to listen to find out!
Hope you enjoy the show!
In this episode I finished up my interview with Josh Lamont learning more about his professional career, his time at Cornell University, working with the Obama's, and lastly learning about how he became a CEO by accident. Josh shared how in his 20's he more learned about the things he didn't like through trial and error, which eventually led him to his passion leading him to become a business owner. Episode 45 is a great interview to listen to for anyone (LIKE MYSELF) that still doesn't have it all figured out and wants to learn and become successful. There is a ton of gems in here for anyone and everyone, especially aspiring entrepreneurs.

In this episode I got to sit down with Joshua Lamont, Founder of JRL Strategies. Josh has had tons of experience giving back and is well known for his time working on the Board of Directors at GLSEN, Director of Corporate Giving at the Lehman Brothers, being the VP of Global Communications at amFAR & much more. In this episode I got to hear about his love to giving back and where that comes from, as well as discussing the loss of our fathers. Josh left so many gems in this episode about how to help others whether professionally or personally, and I think we can all take something away from this episode.
The best part is....this is part 1 of 2! Next week will be part two of the interview with Josh where we discuss how he found his passion for giving, his time as a spokesman in the White House working with the Obama Administration, and lastly his journey on becoming a business owner. I hope you take a ton away from this episode because I sure did!

In this episode I talk about "Trusting the process," meaning to have faith that things will work out. It's hard to trust the process, and have faith that no matter what you're going through its all apart of the journey. The “Trust the Process” slogan was used by fans of the Philadelphia 76ers back in 2013….where fans were basically saying “things may look bad now, but we have a plan to make it better.” In this episode I’m going to talk to you about how to create that process for yourself & leave you with 3 reasons why you should have faith and trust the process

In this episode I got the opportunity to sit down & interview Will "Zee" Tidwell CEO of SpeakUpZee LLC. Zee grew up in Little Rock, AK as a future basketball star, but everything changed when his parents split at 17 and he ended up homeless with his mother. With no other options Zee quit basketball and helped provide for his family. During that hard time Zee started sharing his story through his writing, and the feeling he had from helping others and being vulnerable was the same amazing feeling he felt when he'd drop 30 points in a bball game.
From that point on Zee knew what he was meant to do! Zee stumbled across his purpose at 17 years old, & learned how to use his story, hardship, & struggles not only as a way to motivate himself, but to also motivate & help others. In this episode I’ll be talking to Zee about his story, how he found his purpose, and get some advice from all of his experience going through life on the way towards his “top floor.” So without further a-do let’s listen in on my interview with the….Will “Zee” Tidwell.
In this episode I sit down with my buddy Justin Leong who is the former business owner of Rushin' Roulette & the creator of The Fugly Dumpling a feel good comic series starring dumpling's as characters. Justin and I met going door to door which in his words "was the best thing for him." Justin once told me he wanted to create a game for others to play, well many of us have things we'd like to do but the difference here was that Justin ACTUALLY did it. After finding success and achieving his goal of creating something for others Justin sought out his next venture.....creating comics!
Justin told me he's always had a love for comic series which later led to Justin creating one of his own, The Fugly Dumpling. The Fugly Dumpling is a feel good comedy comic designed to make others feel good & spread positivity. The Fugly Dumpling has started to catch fire and has over 21k followers on Instagram @thefuglydumpling and Justin is still in his first year of the series. I got the opportunity to sit down with Justin and hear about his successes as well as gain some wisdom on how to accelerate my growth as well.
